Every project begins with a conversation. We take the time to understand how you use your home, what you want your technology to do, and what your timeline and budget look like. There is no sales pitch at this stage. We ask the right questions and give you an honest picture of what is possible. Whether you are based in Chelsea, Mayfair, St Albans, or anywhere across Hertfordshire and the Home Counties, we can meet at your property, at our London office, or remotely. If you are working with an architect, interior designer, or contractor, we are happy to involve them from the outset.
Once we have a clear brief, we carry out a thorough survey of your property. For new builds and refurbishments, this happens at design stage so infrastructure can be planned before walls are built. For retrofits, we assess the existing building, identify the best cable routes, and determine how to deliver the most capable system with the least disruption. We work across London, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Oxfordshire, and the wider South East, and our surveyors are experienced with everything from Central London apartments to large Hertfordshire and Home Counties estates.
Our design team produces a full system specification tailored to your property. This includes an itemised equipment schedule, room-by-room drawings showing screens, speakers, keypads, and control points, cable schedules for your electrician, and rack elevation drawings. You receive a detailed proposal and have the opportunity to review and approve every element before work begins. Nothing moves forward until you are completely satisfied.
For new build and refurbishment projects, we work closely with your main contractor and electrical team to ensure first fix cabling is carried out correctly to our specification. We attend site meetings, provide technical guidance, and carry out a pre-boarding inspection before walls are closed to verify all cables are correctly positioned and labelled. This stage is one of the most valuable things we do, and it is where our experience across complex London and Hertfordshire projects really shows.
All installation work is carried out by our own in-house engineers. We do not subcontract. The people who designed your system are the same people fitting and configuring it, whether that is a Kensington townhouse, a Canary Wharf apartment, or a large estate in Hertfordshire or Surrey. Equipment racks are built to a professional standard, with all cabling labelled and managed neatly. We work efficiently, communicate clearly with your site team, and leave the property clean and tidy at the end of every working day.
With hardware in place, our programmers configure and commission your system. For Control4, Crestron, Vantage, and KNX projects, this is where the intelligence is built. Lighting scenes, automation sequences, AV routing, climate logic, and security integration are all programmed and tested thoroughly before handover. Commissioning is not complete until the system performs exactly as specified.
We dedicate proper time to your handover, walking you through every aspect of your system at your own pace. Whether you prefer a wall keypad, touchscreen, or smartphone, we make sure you feel completely comfortable before we leave. If other members of your household need separate sessions, we are happy to arrange them.
Our relationship with clients does not end at handover. We provide remote monitoring, priority on-site response, and a range of support packages to suit different needs, from pay-as-you-go cover to fully managed service agreements. For homeowners across London, Hertfordshire, Surrey, and the wider South East, that ongoing peace of mind is part of what you are investing in when you choose Vertex AV.

The Values That Drive Every Project

Everything we do at Vertex AV is built on three principles: precision, performance, and discretion.

Precision in how we design and specify every system. Performance in how we install, programme, and support it. Discretion in how we work within your home and handle your project.

Alongside these, we are driven by a genuine commitment to expertise, always investing in our knowledge of the latest platforms and technologies, and to client focus, putting your experience and outcome at the centre of every decision we make. These are not values we display on a wall. They are reflected in the way every member of our team works, on every project, across London, Hertfordshire, and the South East.
